Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineering Manager to lead a team of Industrial Engineers and IE Technicians supporting manufacturing operations. This role will focus on workforce planning, labor standards, capacity and resource planning, manufacturing layouts, line balancing, NPI readiness, productivity improvement, and Lean manufacturing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, demonstrated technical leadership, and expertise in labor management and manufacturing optimization.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise Industrial Engineers and IE Technicians supporting day-to-day manufacturing operations.
• Support workforce planning systems and labor management tools, including Raptor, STATIS, ARCH, or similar systems.
• Develop and maintain labor standards, staffing models, time studies, and work measurement systems.
• Perform workforce planning and labor calculations based on customer demand, production schedules, and operational requirements.
• Conduct capacity analysis and resource planning to support production requirements and operational targets.
• Support production readiness assessments for new and existing manufacturing programs.
• Design and optimize manufacturing layouts using AutoCAD and SolidWorks to improve workflow, productivity, safety, and space utilization.
• Conduct line balancing and process flow analysis to improve efficiency and throughput.
• Use FlexSim or similar simulation software to evaluate manufacturing scenarios and support operational decisions.
• Perform ergonomic assessments and workstation evaluations to improve operator safety and efficiency.
• Support NPI activities through labor planning, capacity assessments, layout development, and manufacturing readiness reviews.
• Identify and implement productivity improvements focused on labor efficiency, throughput, and waste reduction.
• Support CapEx justifications through labor savings and productivity analysis.
• Collaborate with Finance on labor forecasting, budgeting, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Partner with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, and Facilities teams to resolve operational challenges.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement activities.
• Coach, mentor, and develop Industrial Engineering team members while supporting employee growth and succession planning.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 5 8 years of Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 2 5 years of experience leading engineers, technicians, or technical teams.
• Experience developing labor standards and conducting time studies.
• Knowledge of MOST, MODAPTS, MTM, and other work measurement techniques.
• Experience with workforce planning and labor management systems.
• Experience in manufacturing capacity analysis and resource planning.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and SolidWorks for facility and production layout design.
• Experience with line balancing, manufacturing flow, and productivity improvement.
• Experience supporting NPI activities and manufacturing launches.
• Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Operations, Finance, NPI, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Raptor, STATIS, ARCH, or similar workforce planning tools.
• Experience with FlexSim or similar manufacturing simulation software.
• Experience conducting ergonomic assessments and workstation design evaluations.
• Experience with manufacturing layout optimization.
• Experience supporting CapEx analysis and labor savings calculations.
• Experience with labor forecasting and budgeting.
• Experience with production readiness assessments.
• Electronics, PCBA, or EMS manufacturing experience.
• Lean Six Sigma experience.
• SAP or ERP experience.
• Value Stream Mapping and continuous improvement experience.
• Experience managing or mentoring IE technicians.

Work Requirements:

• This is an onsite position in Milpitas, California.
• Must be able to work effectively in a manufacturing environment and collaborate cross-functionally with technical and operational teams.
