Required Experience and Qualifications: - Minimum of 12 months ICU experience required. - 1 year combined perm experience in the specialty applying for required (preferred to be within one location but not required). Licensure: - Must have an active Ohio license or an active compact state license in hand at the time of submission. Certifications: - AHA BLS & ACLS required and need to be active and in hand at the time of submission. - NIHSS Skills also required. References: - One reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for is REQUIRED. References must be from assignments worked in the past 12 months; co-worker references are not accepted. Testing: - ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate will be completed during orientation. An acceptable score on both assessments is required. The traveler will receive 2 attempts maximum to pass. Additional Requirements: - COVID-19 Vaccine: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only. - Flu Vaccine: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only. - Background checks and license hits: No open case background hits are accepted; facility does not accept any license hits. - Nicotine Policy: Nurses and CSTs are exempt from nicotine-free requirements temporarily; other travelers must be nicotine-free. Travel and Compliance: - Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals for 1 year from their previous end date. - BCI/FBI prints: Must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract. Extensions and Competency Requirements: - Candidates may extend with a client for a period of 18 months, after which a 6-month break is required. - Annual Hands-On Competency Requirement: Travel candidates on continuous contracts must complete Cleveland Clinic Nursing Education Annual Hands-On Competency. Modules: - Pre-start and annual modules are required, with an average of 6-15 hours. Annual modules are billable up to 4 hours.
