This contract opportunity runs from July 20, 2026, to May 26, 2027, offering the chance to work closely with a dedicated team in a supportive, collaborative environment.

In this role, you’ll be assigned to one middle school with a student body of under 700, including approximately 15% participating in exceptional student services. You can expect a manageable caseload, focused on about 30 re-evaluations and very few initial referrals. From your very first day, you’ll benefit from a comprehensive setup, including detailed guidebooks, a lead psychologist orientation, weekly group supervision, and monthly department meetings. You’ll also join a district network of 18 engaged school psychologists who work together and offer one another support.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid AZ School Psychologist credential required
• Experience in school settings, particularly with middle school students, is preferred
• Strong understanding of re-evaluation processes and providing services to students with exceptional needs
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to adapt assessment and counseling strategies to best serve a diverse student population

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological assessments and re-evaluations for students
• Collaborate with educators, families, and colleagues to create effective intervention and support plans
• Attend and participate in weekly and monthly professional development meetings
• Serve as a resource for staff regarding student learning, behavior, and mental health needs
• Maintain detailed, timely documentation and follow district policies
