Tool and Die Maker II Company: Allfast Fastening Systems LLC Primary Location: 15200 Don Julian Road, City of Industry, CA 91745 USA Workplace Type: On-site Employment Type: Hourly | Full-Time Function: Manufacturing Production / Distribution Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled Responsibilities Fabricate and/or repair precision carbide and steel tooling (dies, jigs, fixtures, gauges, etc.) for the manufacture of aircraft‑quality fasteners using automatic and manual machines, cutting apparatus, and precision measuring devices. Read and interpret specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions to determine materials and machines required to fabricate the part. Compute dimensions, plan layout, and determine assembly method and sequence of operations. Measure, shape, and scribes metal stock for machining. Test functional performance of tooling under specified conditions. Set up and operate equipment such as lathe, mill, and grinder to machine parts, and verify conformance of machined parts to specifications. Analyze results on defective tooling to determine cause of failure. Examine existing dies, tools, jigs, and fixtures, and recommend design modifications regarding construction and function of part. Meet and maintain productivity levels and quality requirements in support of departmental standards, goals, and schedules. Perform record keeping, housekeeping, and follow safety regulations. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rate, ratio, and percent; apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability: Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED. Minimum 2–3 years experience in fabricating aircraft‑quality fastener tooling; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Physical Demands During the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and sit. The employee is occasionally required to walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Compensation Pay range: $24.00 - $46.00 per hour.
