The ideal candidate will have experience in providing respiratory care in a variety of settings, including critical care and emergency situations. Shift Details\n The position requires a commitment to weekend shifts, specifically from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM every other weekend. Facility Information\n This facility offers a supportive and collaborative work environment, with a focus on patient-centered care. The Respiratory Therapist will be an essential part of our healthcare team, caring primarily for adults and geriatric patients, with possible pediatric cases. Responsibilities\n \n Provide respiratory care to patients in critical care, emergency, and general settings. \n Utilize ventilators, BiPAP, and HFNC in patient treatment. \n Work collaboratively with nursing and medical staff using the EPIC electronic medical record system. \n Participate in patient assessments and care planning. \n Assist with nursery care as needed, including Bubble CPAP management. \n Qualifications\n \n Required licensure and certifications: RRT, ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS. \n A minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience is preferred. \n Strong foundational skills in basic respiratory therapy techniques and critical care. \n Familiarity with all respiratory equipment and accessories. \n Previous experience in a nursery setting is advantageous but not mandatory if NRP certified. \n Support and Orientation\n The RT team will receive support from a dedicated manager and team lead. New hires will undergo a 1-day hospital orientation followed by 2-3 precepted shifts based on comfort and skill level. Scheduling and Culture\n Shifts are scheduled on a rotating weekend basis, with a schedule released 6 weeks in advance.
