CDL Driver & Delivery Helper

Position Purpose: The primary function of a CDL Driver & Delivery Helper is to safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with company policies along with Federal and State regulations and delivers all freight undamaged. Work as a team player to deliver, load/unload building materials while providing a world class customer service experience. Key Responsibilities: Inspect truck/trailer for defects for safe operation. Perform pre-trip inspections of equipment, paperwork and loaded product to ensure accuracy of order. Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom truck. Safely deliver and unload materials to an assigned area as directed by the customer. Prepare the truck for the following day and maintain the truck and the equipment. Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations. Must report all accidents involving driver or company equipment. Stamina to lift heavy building materials up to 100+ lbs. for load/unload. Navigate routes to the job site. Excellent customer service skills and professional attitude. Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position while driving a commercial vehicle 40% of the time. Must be able to lift heavy building materials up to 80 lbs. for loading/unloading. Frequently moves materials weighing up to 80 lbs. while unloading flatbed. Will constantly move from unloading materials from commercial motor vehicle onto job site. Will constantly operate commercial motor vehicle and/or boom vehicle. Will constantly position self to unload materials from flatbed or boom. Must be able to judge distance while delivering materials and/or operating boom. Must be able to communicate with management and coworkers and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Constantly working in outside environment while making deliveries. Minimum Qualifications: Ability to read, write and communicate information accurately. Must have a valid commercial driver's license (CDL). Minimum Class B License, Class A strongly preferred. Must have a clear three (3) year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR). Must have overall knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations. Boom or Crane experience required. Minimum Education: High School diploma or GED. Competencies: Safety Compliance: Adheres to all transportation safety regulations. Time Management: Ensures on-time deliveries and efficient scheduling. Technical Skills: Uses transportation systems and performs vehicle checks. Communication: Maintains clear, professional interactions. Problem Solving: Quickly resolves transport-related issues. Customer Service: Delivers courteous, reliable service. Organization: Keeps accurate records and documentation. Teamwork: Collaborates effectively with logistics and operations teams. Base Salary: The base salary for this position typically falls within the range of $23.51 to $29.90 per hour. Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
