Help Desk Specialist
Tarvos Talent is partnering with a growing and customer-focused organization in Austin, TX to hire a Help Desk Specialist. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative IT team with strong leadership and hands-on training If you enjoy solving problems, supporting end users, and working in a fast-paced environment, this role offers immediate impact and visibility.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues via phone, email, and ticketing system
- Troubleshoot and resolve common IT issues including password resets, system access, and device connectivity
- Escalate complex problems to Tier 2/3 support teams as needed, ensuring timely resolution
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
- Document incidents, resolutions, and processes in the ticketing system
- Support onboarding/offboarding by setting up user accounts, equipment, and system access
- Maintain a high level of customer service and communication with internal stakeholders
Qualifications
- 1-3+ years of experience in a Help Desk, IT Support, or Technical Support role
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Familiarity with Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic networking concepts
- Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Zendesk, or similar) is a plus
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar) are a plus
