Description

• Assess patients from pediatric to geriatric populations through standardized evaluations and observational methods.
• Craft tailored treatment plans that encompass both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions targeting communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise integrated care plans.
• Provide education for patients and families to bolster progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Contribute to occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and treatments, ensuring consistent continuity of care.
• Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with state, federal, and institutional regulations.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with advancements in the field through continuing education and peer collaboration.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary within 30 days of starting.
