Senior Staff Accountant 9 days ago Requisition ID: 1034 Salary Range: $65,000.00 To $85,000.00 Annually Summary of position: This position in the Accounting Department is responsible for activities related to accounts payable activities, general ledger monitoring, and the preparation of various reports. Key job functions: (Includes current duties, primary objectives, and responsibilities which are critical to the successful performance of the position) Maintain a high degree of customer care for all internal or external queries. Primary duty includes management of accounts payable with accurate and timely accounts payable entries. Administration and management of Fiserv/Prologue accounting system. Create and maintain vendor management files and assist with vendor risk assessments. Handle the proper recording and depreciation of fixed assets. Coordinate with Controller & CFO to process end of month entries. Prepare and provide documents for internal auditors, external auditors, and regulatory exams. Assist Controller/CFO as requested. Consistently promotes the bank and maintains positive relationships with customers, potential customers, the community, vendors, and staff. Protect the bank’s information technology (IT) systems and data by complying with technology policies. Exercise awareness in regards to suspicious activity, money laundering, or fraudulent behavior relating to cash and overall transaction activity; document and report any identified behavior or transactions to the appropriate officer. Participates as an active member on any assigned committees or task forces. Completes assigned training in a timely manner. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze and resolve problems. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to prioritize tasks or projects, identifying the most critical, to meet expectations and deadlines. Ability and commitment to maintain strict confidentiality. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting 3+ years in a financial institution. Physical Demands: These physical demands are generally representative of the position.
