Assistant Teachers Wanted

We are seeking Assistant Teachers to join our team at New Horizon Academy Des Moines, IA! Hourly wage range: $14.40-$15.75 DOE. Must be available to work any shift between 6:30am and 6:00pm.

New Horizon Academy participates in the WAGE$ program. More information can be found at the link below.

Teachers are also eligible for Child Care Assistance with the State of Iowa, which can cover up to 100% of the cost of childcare for those with children who will be attending our schools. More information in the link below.

All applicants MUST:

Be able to work a flexible, full-time schedule, Monday-Friday.
Have positive work ethic, and a team-centered attitude.
Be willing to learn and grow as an educator.

Meets or exceeds state qualifications for the listed position.
Has previous experience in Early Childhood Education or related field of work.
Must meet position qualification requirements as outlined by the state department guidelines.
Can satisfy the Applicant Background Study required by state regulations.
Can provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
Has the physical abilities to perform the required job duties with or without accommodations.
