Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with Operating Room (OR) experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures.

Shift Details

Shift: 11a-11p, flexible to evenings if needed
Weekend Requirements: No weekends
On Call Requirements: 1 call per month if needed

Job Responsibilities

Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans
Create and maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment
Provide pre and post-operative patient education
Monitor patient's physical and emotional well-being
Coordinate patient care throughout the surgical continuum
Support various surgical procedures, excluding cardiac and ophthalmology

Qualifications

2+ years of current Operating Room experience
Experience in vascular surgery and orthopedic surgery
Ability to float to vascular, orthopedic, trauma, general surgery, robotic surgery, urology, and ENT
Proficient in both circulating and scrubbing roles
Travel experience in diverse clinical settings
EPIC experience is mandatory
Current BLS and ACLS certification required
Must have a valid New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration
Must possess a personal vehicle for commuting

Patient Population

Provide care for a diverse patient population, ranging from pediatric to adult.

Additional Information

Non-billable orientation: 8 hours
Average of 50 surgical procedures performed daily
