ArcGIS Administrator

Akkodis is seeking a skilled ArcGIS Administrator to support and maintain enterprise geospatial platforms in a contract capacity. This role will be responsible for administering ArcGIS Enterprise environments, optimizing GIS services, and ensuring high system performance, availability, and scalability. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in GIS infrastructure, automation, and collaboration with cross‑functional stakeholders. Rate Range: $35/hour to $45/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, and other factors. Responsibilities Administer, configure, and maintain ArcGIS Enterprise environments, including ArcGIS Server and Web Adaptor, to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance. Manage the publishing, deployment, and optimization of GIS services and applications using ArcGIS Pro. Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and ArcPy to streamline administrative and data management tasks. Monitor system health, performance, and security of GIS infrastructure across enterprise environments, implementing improvements as needed. Ensure scalability and stability of GIS systems to support evolving business and technical requirements. Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and GIS users to design, implement, and support enterprise‑level geospatial solutions. Qualifications Experience administering ArcGIS Enterprise environments (ArcGIS Server, Portal, Web Adaptor). Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro for publishing and managing GIS services. Strong scripting experience with Python and ArcPy. Experience monitoring and maintaining enterprise GIS infrastructure in production environments. Understanding system performance tuning, security practices, and scalability planning. Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a contract capacity. Preferred Qualifications Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) supporting GIS systems. Familiarity with web GIS technologies, APIs, and integrations. Knowledge of database management (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.) related to spatial data.
