About the Position

Job Title: Surgical Technologist Profession: CST/ORT Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Friday to Sunday Hours per Shift: 18:30 - 07:00 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Valid CST/ORT license required Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: Candidates must have at least 2 years of scrub or circulating experience. Experience in robotics, neuro, ortho, or trauma is highly preferred. Description: This contract position is for a Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room. The expectation is to assist in general trauma, ortho trauma, vascular, neuro, and robotic surgeries. The unit has 14 operating rooms, including 2 heart rooms and 1 hybrid room. There are 120 staff members on this unit, including RNs, techs, and other support staff. Patient ratios on the unit are typically 1 to 1. Typical procedures performed include general surgery, gynecology, neuro, ortho, plastics, vascular, ENT, and urology. The ideal candidate should possess a flexible attitude and a positive approach to teamwork. Scrubs will be provided in ciel blue. The unit has been recognized as a Unit of Distinction on three occasions. This position also allows for exposure to new equipment and technology, enhancing the surgical experience and practice.
