Role Description The Clinical Dietitian is a PRN, on-site role based at Kootenai Health in Coeur d’Alene, ID. The individual in this role assesses patients’ nutritional status, develops evidence-based nutrition care plans, and provides medical nutrition therapy for a variety of acute and chronic conditions. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other interdisciplinary team members; documenting assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record; and participating in patient rounds as needed. The Clinical Dietitian provides individualized nutritional counseling and education to patients, families, and caregivers, tailoring recommendations to cultural, medical, and psychosocial needs. Additional duties may include contributing to performance improvement initiatives, supporting nutrition-related policies, and mentoring students or new team members. Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in Dietetics and Human Nutrition to evaluate nutritional status and develop appropriate care plans. Proficiency in Medical Nutrition Therapy for common inpatient and outpatient conditions, including chronic disease management and acute care. Strong skills in Nutritional Counseling and patient education to support behavior change and promote long-term health outcomes. Solid foundation in general Nutrition principles to interpret current evidence and apply best practices in clinical settings. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field from an accredited institution. Completion of an accredited dietetic internship or supervised practice program. Current registration as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or eligibility for registration; state licensure or certification as required in Idaho. Effective communication, documentation, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary hospital environment. Experience in a clinical or hospital setting preferred, with familiarity in electronic health record systems and quality improvement processes. #J-18808-Ljbffr
