Food Service Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operations of the courthouse snack bar. Supervise, schedule, train, and provide direction to snack bar employees. Prepare and serve food, beverages, snacks, and other menu items as needed. Maintain proper food-handling, sanitation, and workplace safety standards. Monitor food and supply inventory and place orders as necessary. Receive deliveries and ensure products are stored appropriately. Maintain accurate cash handling, register, and daily sales procedures. Monitor food costs, portion control, waste, and product availability. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dining and service area. Address customer questions and concerns professionally. Ensure equipment is properly operated and maintained and report maintenance issues promptly. Develop or recommend menu items and pricing as appropriate. Maintain required records and documentation. Ensure compliance with applicable county policies and local, state, and health regulations. Perform other duties related to food service operations as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous food service, restaurant, cafeteria, or hospitality experience required. Prior supervisory or management experience preferred. Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and safe food-handling practices. Ability to operate a point-of-sale/cash register system and handle money accurately. Strong customer-service and communication skills. Ability to supervise employees and work effectively with the public. Ability to work independently and make sound day-to-day operational decisions. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine food-service duties. Food-handler certification or manager-level food safety certification preferred or required as applicable.
