Malignant Hematologist focused on Lymphoma
Duke Health
Join Duke Division of Hematologic Malignancies & Cellular Therapy!
The mission of the Duke Division of Hematologic Malignancies and Cellular Therapy is to promote health and improve lives by preventing, diagnosing, and treating blood cancer and other life threatening diseases through integrated innovative and holistic patient care, education, and research.
The Division is integrated with the Duke Cancer Institute, one of 69 National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers.
The Hematologic Malignancies and Cellular Therapy (HMCT) Program is a multidisciplinary basic, translational and clinical research program whose overall goal is to improve outcomes for patients with hematologic malignancies. The broad, long-term goal of the HMCT Program is to build on and extend the current knowledge in the fields of leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, hematopoietic cell transplantation, and immunotherapy, and to develop and implement novel strategies for improving therapeutic results in these patients through a collaborative and integrated approach involving all the investigators in the program.
The Division of Hematologic Malignancies & Cellular Therapy at Duke Health is seeking a Hematologist/Oncologist with a focus in Chronic Lymphoma to join our nationally recognized blood cancer program.
We are particularly interested in physicians with several years of experience beyond fellowship who are passionate about academic medicine, clinical research, and education, while delivering exceptional patient-centered care. This new faculty partner will work in diverse settings throughout Duke Health in the Raleigh/Durham area, with a balance of work and settings tailored to their clinical and research interests.
The role advances our research mission through clinical trials and scholarly research in a collaborative environment. We contribute to Duke's academic vitality through instruction and mentorship for medical students, residents, and hematology/oncology fellows.
New faculty will maintain a small clinical footprint at Duke University Medical Center. Our specialized lymphoma practice is centered at Duke Raleigh Hospital Cancer Center, part of Duke Health's continued growth in Raleigh, Cary, and additional Wake County locations, where teams oversee outpatient operations, infusion services, and inpatient consultations.
Our faculty working at Raleigh-area sites will have the opportunity to actively participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards, facilitate clinical trial enrollment, and maintain rigorous collaboration with the Duke Blood Center in Durham.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Hematology and/or Oncology
- Demonstrated focus in lymphoma (chronic lymphoma is greatest need)
- Strong interest in academic advancement, research, and multidisciplinary care
Compensation & Benefits: Faculty title and salary will be commensurate with experience and role focus. Duke Health offers a competitive compensation model that rewards both clinical productivity and academic achievement, along with comprehensive benefits including retirement, CME, relocation, and tuition assistance for dependents.
