Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Licensed Mental Health Practitioners (LMHPs) and Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs) to provide behavioral health services within a state prison setting . The ideal candidate will deliver individual and group counseling, complete assessments, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support an incarcerated population with behavioral health needs.

Please note: Candidates must be able to successfully pass a rigorous background investigation and drug screening prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mental health assessments and evaluations.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions.
• Develop and implement therapeutic treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with healthcare and interdisciplinary team members.
• Assist in the treatment of behavioral health disorders and related conditions.
• Provide crisis intervention and supportive counseling as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Active LMHP or LPC license in the state of practice.
• Minimum 1 year of corrections and/or mental health experience required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain before start date).
• Current TB screening, PPD, or chest X-ray if applicable.
• Current health certificate if required.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening .
• Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Orientation

Compensation

Local Candidates

• Hourly Rate: $40/hr.
• Estimated Weekly Gross: $1,600

Travel Candidates

• Hourly Rate: $22/hr.
• Weekly Meals Stipend: $385
• Weekly Housing Stipend: $672
• Estimated Weekly Pay Package: $1,937
