Guest Room Attendant

Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a local hotel in the Morris, IL area to hire a dedicated Guest Room Attendant. This position plays a key role in creating an exceptional guest experience by maintaining clean, comfortable, and welcoming guest rooms and public areas.

Pay Rate

$15.75 - $17.00 per hour

Schedule

Open availability required Sunday through Friday Hours may vary based on hotel occupancy and business needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms according to hotel standards and procedures
• Make beds, change linens, and replenish room amenities
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including showers, tubs, sinks, mirrors, and toilets
• Dust, vacuum, sweep, and mop guest rooms and assigned areas
• Remove trash and transport used linens to designated collection areas
• Restock towels, toiletries, and guest supplies
• Inspect rooms for cleanliness, damage, maintenance concerns, and safety hazards
• Report maintenance issues, lost-and-found items, and suspicious activity promptly
• Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Provide friendly and professional service to guests when needed
• Assist with cleaning hallways, common areas, and other assigned housekeeping duties

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous housekeeping, hotel, janitorial, or cleaning experience is preferred but not required
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Ability to maintain guest privacy and confidentiality

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and reach
• Push and pull housekeeping carts and cleaning equipment
• Lift and carry up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally
• Perform repetitive movements throughout the workday
