Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Rehabilitation Services – Full TimeGlendive Medical Center | Glendive, Montana Full-Time | Monday-Friday 8:00AM – 5:00PM | Starting Wage: $26.09+/hour (based on experience and internal equity) Make a Difference Through Movement and RecoveryGlendive Medical Center is looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Rehabilitation Services team. Working under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, you'll help patients improve mobility, regain function, and work toward greater independence following injury, illness, or surgery.This role offers the opportunity to build meaningful patient relationships while working with a variety of diagnoses in a supportive rural healthcare environment. What You'll Be DoingImplement therapy programs developed by the Physical TherapistLead patients through therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and functional activitiesMonitor patient performance and communicate progress to the supervising therapistDocument treatments, outcomes, and patient responses accuratelyEducate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety techniques, and home programsAssist with transfers, positioning, gait training, and mobility activitiesApply therapeutic modalities as directed, including heat, ultrasound, and other treatment techniquesMaintain treatment spaces, equipment, and therapy supplies  QualificationsRequiredAssociate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant programCurrent Montana PTA licenseStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work effectively as part of a rehabilitation teamIdeal CandidatePassion for helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goalsPositive, patient-centered approach to careStrong observation and documentation skillsAbility to adapt treatment approaches based on patient needsPhysical DemandsFrequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and assisting patientsAbility to safely transfer and support patients during treatment activitiesAbility to lift up to 75 pounds when necessary BenefitsEligible after 59 days:Medical, Dental, VisionHealthcare Spending AccountsEmployer-paid Life & DisabilityEligible after 30 days:401(k) with employer matchPaid Time Off and Extended Illness LeavePaid float holidays Why Choose GMC?As a Critical Access Hospital serving Eastern Montana and Western North Dakota, Glendive Medical Center offers the opportunity to practice in a collaborative setting where your work has a direct impact on patients and the community.
