Land Surveyor

Job Overview Position: Land Surveyor – Geospatial Data Services Team. Responsibilities Assist with field surveys across multiple project types, including boundary, topographic, and construction surveys. Support data reduction, digital terrain modeling, and surface creation. Prepare right‑of‑way plats, certified survey maps, boundary surveys, and other survey‑related documents. Assist with drafting and survey computations. Collaborate with project teams while maintaining the ability to work independently in the field. Travel as needed to support project demands. Candidate may reside in St. Paul, MN. Essential Qualifications Willingness and ability to work overtime as project schedules require. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently. Ability to walk and climb over rough terrain and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to work outdoors for 8–12 hours in varying weather conditions. Ability to travel for projects, meetings, and overnight stays as needed. Preferred Qualifications Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience with basic surveying procedures, including: Boundary and land surveys. Topographic surveys. Construction staking methods using Total Stations and GPS. Experience with drafting, survey computations, and interpreting plans and easement descriptions. Field experience using Trimble survey equipment. Working knowledge of: AutoCAD. Trimble Business Center. Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.). Requirements Valid driver’s license and MVR records check meeting SEH’s Driving Program requirements. Authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future. Location & Travel Candidate required to travel as needed; open to candidates residing in St. Paul, MN. Compensation Base compensation expected to be in the range of $72,000 to $100,000 based on skill set and experience.
