Master’s degree in Special Education, Educational Diagnostics, Psychology or a related field, active Educational Diagnostician license, and 1+ years Educational Diagnostician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a meaningful part-time contract role where your expertise as an Educational Diagnostician will directly impact students from PreK through grade 8. This opportunity involves providing essential diagnostic and evaluation services to support diverse learners at an elementary school for a summer assignment.
From June 1st to July 16th, you’ll work Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 12 pm. The position is ideal for those looking for flexibility and work-life balance, while making a real difference in students’ educational journeys. Remote (VOCO) arrangements may be available, offering further convenience.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Louisiana Department of Education certification as an Educational Diagnostician
- Previous experience conducting educational assessments and developing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Familiarity with multi-tiered systems of support and special education best practices
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with school staff, families, and support teams
- Ability to work independently and manage caseloads efficiently
- Successful completion of district-mandated background check and fingerprinting
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive educational assessments for students in PreK-8th grade
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to interpret data and develop intervention strategies
- Draft and present evaluation reports that outline student strengths and areas of need
- Participate in team meetings, eligibility determinations, and IEP planning sessions
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold confidentiality according to legal standards
