Job Overview
Our organization is on the lookout for a PRN OB/Gyn Hospitalist physician to become a part of our Women's Health division.
This practice benefits from 24/7 in-house anesthesia support and features a level III NICU. Furthermore, we offer a comprehensive Women's Health service line that includes 18 general OB/GYN physicians, a MIGS surgeon, a Urogynecologist, and a Gynecological Oncologist.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in 24-hour in-house call shifts.
- Provide antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care for OB patients from both our outpatient clinic and community practices.
- Conduct gynecologic consultations and manage surgical cases for inpatient units and the emergency department.
- Serve as a physician backup for complex obstetrical cases.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive healthcare services, with each physician's scope of practice defined by the health system's credentialing and privileging committee.
Essential Qualifications
- A Doctorate from an accredited medical institution is mandatory.
Licensure and Certifications
- Must be licensed to practice medicine by the Virginia Department of Health Professions.
- Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology is required.
