Work Environment

This onsite position requires you to work within our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Memphis, TN, where a team-oriented culture and positive patient interactions are prioritized. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to provide comprehensive patient care while fostering a collaborative work atmosphere. The typical schedule involves Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility needed based on patient requirements and clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to assist patients in improving their mobility, strength, and functional abilities.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities that encourage physical recovery and pain management.
• Educate patients on effective body mechanics, exercise regimens, and home exercise initiatives to support their rehabilitation process.
• Administer therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy under appropriate supervision.
• Monitor and document patient progress, including improvements in range of motion, strength, and functional status, ensuring accurate records in our electronic health system.
• Maintain organized treatment areas by preparing and sanitizing equipment and supplies in anticipation of therapy sessions.
• Support a multidisciplinary approach by collaborating with professionals across various therapeutic disciplines to optimize patient care outcomes.
• Provide compassionate emotional support and encouragement to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Adhere to ethical practices and maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with professional standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Tennessee.

Preferred Experience

• At least 1 year of clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting, showcasing a track record of successful patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits
