Summary: The purpose of this class within the organization is to operate heavy equipment on job sites, assigned facilities and other designated locations for a department, division or work unit. This class works under close supervision according to set procedures.Work Hours: This position will be expected to work a designated schedule established by the Department Head. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle with a manual transmission. Contributes towards the department's mission by continuously striving to meet expectations, strategic goals and objectives.Operates a broad range of equipment which may include Riverbank Tractors, Right-of-Way Tractors, Vactor Trucks, Backhoe, Excavator, Endloader, Gradall, Blacktop Paver, Roller, Tree Trucks Dump Trucks and/or other equipment. Loads and unloads equipment, tools, and job materials. Education / Experience: High School Diploma or GED. Requires one year of equipment operation experience or closely related experienceCertifications / Licenses: Class A or B Commercial Driver's License required.
