ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Amanda Agnew - State Farm Agent is a leading insurance agency dedicated to providing exceptional service to our customers. We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Receptionist - State Farm Agent Team Member.

Our Receptionist is the first person our customers interact with, so a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a genuine desire to provide an excellent customer experience are important. This is more than a traditional front-desk position. In addition to keeping the office running smoothly, you will learn how to recognize opportunities to connect customers with the appropriate team member for additional insurance and financial services needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet customers warmly in person and over the phone, directing them to the appropriate team members.
• Manage appointment scheduling and office communications (calls, texts, emails, etc.).
• Assist in handling incoming inquiries and maintaining customer records.
• Engage in conversations with prospective and existing customers, identifying opportunities to offer insurance options.
• Provide excellent customer service and follow up on customers' needs.
• Support the team with various administrative tasks and projects.
• Looking for ways to help the team and taking initiative when something needs to be done

No insurance license is required for this position. Training will be provided.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role.
• Communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Comfortable initiating conversations with customer, identifying potential needs and connecting them with the appropriate team member.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

SCHEDULE:
Monday-Friday: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. This is a full-time, in-office position in Downtown DeLand. 

COMPENSATION: 
$17.00 per hour, with a compensation review following successful completion of the 90-day introductory period and the opportunity to increase to $18.00 per hour based on performance.
