Supervisor, Sterile Processing

Location: Loxahatchee, FL
Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital (204-bed)
Schedule: Full-Time | Days | No Weekends
Pay Rate: $20.00 – $28.50/Hour (Based on Experience)
Relocation Assistance: Up to $5,000 (HR Approval Required)

We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Supervisor to lead the sterile processing department in a high-acuity acute care hospital. This role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of infection prevention and patient safety through effective supervision of instrument decontamination, sterilization, and workflow operations.

• Supervise daily sterile processing operations and staff workflow.

• Coordinate schedules and optimize departmental efficiency.

• Oversee cleaning, decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments.

• Perform and validate quality control tests for sterilization processes.

• Lead training, onboarding, and professional development of staff.

• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, OSHA, CDC, and AAMI standards.

• Manage surgical instrument inventory and sterilization equipment maintenance.

• Collaborate with OR, nursing, and hospital leadership teams.

• Ensure timely availability of sterile instruments for surgical procedures.

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Active CRCST certification (or equivalent sterile processing certification).

• Minimum 2–3 years of sterile processing experience.

• At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience in healthcare.

• Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control, and AAMI standards.

• Excellent communication and team leadership skills.

• Experience in a large acute care or surgical hospital setting.

• Familiarity with automated sterilization systems and tracking software.

• Strong problem-solving and workflow optimization skills.
