On-Site Job Description Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing basic maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning and upkeep of equipment and facilities. This entry-level role involves assisting more experienced technicians, learning maintenance procedures, and gradually gaining the skills necessary to troubleshoot and repair equipment. The position plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations by maintaining machinery, conducting preventive maintenance, and ensuring a safe work environment. Maintenance Technician 1st Shift Qualifications Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems (troubleshooting electrical panels 480 and below). 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related field. Good knowledge of tools, equipment, and machinery (heavy equipment including conveyor lines experience is preferred). Ability to read and follow maintenance manuals, blueprints, and schematics - great knowledge of safety when working around equipment. Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for minor mechanical or electrical issues. Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics. Experience in PLC.
