Manufacturing EngineerThe Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency. This hands-on role involves working closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to troubleshoot manufacturing, tooling, and equipment-related issues while driving process improvements across CNC machining operations.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze production data and participate in root cause investigations.Implement corrective actions and support Lean Manufacturing initiatives to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).Assist with CNC machining process optimization, CNC program modifications, tooling validation, prototype machining, and production trials.Utilize Siemens 840D, Fanuc controls, and other relevant systems.Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.Support APQP activities, maintain Process FMEAs and Control Plans.Conduct process validation and capability studies.Participate in equipment and automation projects using AutoCAD.Provide technical support and training to production personnel.Promote safe manufacturing practices and implement ergonomic and safety improvements.Essential Skills3-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a CNC machining or automotive manufacturing environment.Experience with GD&T, Siemens, programming, AutoCAD, APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and SAP. "Nice to have" Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering discipline.Experience with Siemens, Fanuc, and CNC programming and machining centers.Exposure to APQP, PFMEA, and Control Plans.Experience using AutoCAD and SAP.Work EnvironmentThe work environment includes standard hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with some flexibility to start at 7:00 AM if preferred. The position offers stability in the off highway industry, providing experience in the heavy trucking sector, which is more stable than typical automotive industries.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Webberville, MI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43.27 - $52.88/hr.
