Must be willing to float to Adult Level III NICU. Must be competent to work with the High Frequency Ventilator (JET) and the Oscillator. Location: Northwest MC. Address: 2801 North State Road 7, Margate, FL 33063. Floor: Main. Tell us about the unit(s): Number of Beds 12 beds. Number of Staff 5-8. Type of staff: Director, permanent staff, 2-3 RRT's, per diem help. Day Shift Director, lead RRT, 2-3 RRT. Night Shift On-call team, varies on volume. Patient Ratios (Estimated) 1:1, 2:1. Type of equipment Oxygen cylinders and concentrators, nebulizer, suction machine, CPAP & BIPAP machines. EMR Meditech. Typical hiring profile: Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters). Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. BLS, ACLS, & PALS are an ABSOLUTE MUST (and NRP for NICU). 2 years of current acute care Hospital RRT experience. Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. Stroke Education and experience & NRP. Director prefer to only consider candidates with previous Meditech experience. List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Respiratory Therapist provides treatment, care and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, asthma, pneumonia, emphysema.
