About the Role:
As a CBRE FacilitiesDirector, you will serve as the primary client contact for the delivery offacilities management services to oversee a Global Headquarters in the Houstonarea.
We're looking for an experienced Leader who will approachthis role like a General Manager for a high-end hospitality or resortproperty. This 4 million + square foot campusis comprised of 16 buildings and sits on over 380 acres. It serves as the global HQ for one of thelargest integrated fuels, lubricants and chemical companies in the world. The FacilityDirector will define what the experience feels like day to day.
This is a hospitality leadership role in a corporateenvironment that oversees facilities management as part of a wider remit.You'll set and hold the standard across every touchpoint in the building - fromthe arrival experience to executive dining, from the events calendar to how awork order gets closed, from HVAC preventative maintenance to emergencybreak-fix - with the precision and intentionality of the best hotels in theworld.
The scope spans facilities, food & beverage, receptionand visitor management, events and conference services, data center management,janitorial, security, mail, shipping & receiving, logistics, retailmanagement, and technology. Some of those teams report to you directly, and youwill manage hiring, goals, bonuses, and performance. Many don't - they'reemployed by vendor partners. You set the standard, enforce quality, and ownevery outcome regardless of who signs the paycheck. Think of it as conducting anorchestra where the musicians come from different ensembles but need to play asone.
You'll manage an operating budget in excess of $50 million,with full transparency to a client who thinks about money the way you'd expectfrom a multinational corporation. That means real P&L ownership: variancereporting, forecasting, cross-category tradeoffs, and the ability to connectevery dollar to a tangible experience outcome.
You'll be working with a dedicated team with a strong senseof ownership, guiding them to implement innovations and drive savings for theclient, without sacrificing the highest levels of customer service.
This job is a part of the Facilities Management functionalarea which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets,providing support to the Client / Property Owner regarding all repairs andinvestment plans.
What You'll Do:
Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitorthe training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations andcoaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
Coordinate and manage the team's dailyactivities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Setand track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
Review the client's strategic plans forappropriate staffing levels to meet expectations.

Create action plans to improve financialpositions. Manage negotiations for contract services.
Meet with the client management team andappropriate departments to discuss status of the property, resolve any concernsand discrepancies.
Apply a robust knowledge of multipledisciplines, the business, and key drivers which impact departmental andcross-functional performance.
Lead by example and model behaviors that areconsistent with CBRE RISE values. Persuade managers and other colleagues totake action while being guided by the organization's functional business plans.Negotiate with external partners, vendors, and customers of divergent intereststo reach a common goal.
Identify and solve multi-dimensional, complex,operational, and organizational problems leveraging the appropriate resourceswithin or outside the department.
Significantly improves and changes existingmethods, processes, and standards within job discipline.
What You'll Need:
· Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-12 years ofrelevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience andeducation will be considered. Facility Management certification preferred.
Hospitality instinct built through direct hospitality industry experience - hotels, premium F&B, luxury events, or equivalent environments where the standard is felt, not just measured
P&L ownership at $25M+ annually with demonstrated authority to make cross-category spending decisions
People leadership at 50+ person scale
Experience managing a demanding institutional client or ownership group at an executive level
Experience in the areas of staffing, selection,training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, andrewarding performance and retention is preferred.
Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive,complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, andhandle problems.
Leadership skills to set, manage and achievetargets with a direct impact on multiple department results within a function.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Expert organizational skills and an advancedinquisitive mindset.
