Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Michigan Special Education (SPED) teaching certification required
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly in inclusive or resource settings
• Strong communication skills and collaborative approach with students, families, and team members
• Adaptability and commitment to individualized instruction
• Passion for supporting diverse learners and fostering an inclusive classroom environment

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver specialized instruction tailored to students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
• Monitor student progress, assess educational needs, and update IEPs as necessary
• Implement positive behavioral supports and classroom management strategies
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance with all state and federal regulations
• Foster a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom climate
