Job Description
- Provide comprehensive legal counsel on securitization transactions, including drafting and negotiating transaction documents.
- Advise on compliance with relevant laws and regulations in the financial services industry.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business, risk, and compliance teams, to align legal strategies with business objectives.
- Oversee and manage external counsel to ensure timely and efficient legal support.
- Support the structuring, execution, and closing of complex financial transactions.
- Stay updated on changes in securitization laws and regulations and communicate potential impacts to the organization.
- Mitigate legal risks by providing proactive and practical legal solutions.
- Ensure all legal documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and compliant with internal and external standards.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Director, Senior Counsel - Securitizations should have:
- A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and a license to practice law in the United States.
- Strong expertise in securitizations, structured finance, and capital markets transactions.
- Proficiency in drafting and negotiating complex legal documents.
- In-depth knowledge of financial services industry regulations, including securities laws.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to identifying and addressing legal risks.
