Overview
Registered Nurse, Labor & Delivery (L&D) travel assignment in Clearlake, CA. Start date 08/31/2026 for 9 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,425–$2,562. Shift is 3x12-hour nights. No guaranteed hours. Inpatient Women’s Care Unit care across the life span from infant through geriatric, including labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborns up to 28 days.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to obstetric patients and newborns from labor and delivery through postpartum, and to infants up to 28 days old; care also extends to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients as needed
- Perform comprehensive assessments, monitor maternal and fetal status, respond to emergencies, and document findings in the clinical record
- Administer medications and IV fluids according to PCS policies and procedures; manage narcotics and other controlled substances per protocol
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, neonatology, lactation, and other disciplines to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, postpartum care, newborn care, and discharge planning; provide concise handoffs at shift change
- Maintain unit readiness and safety; ensure accurate charging for patients and supplies; document care and outcomes accurately

Requirements
- Active California Registered Nurse license
- Ability to work in an inpatient women’s care setting and provide care across the infant, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
- Experience or competency in labor and delivery or women’s health care is preferred
- Proficiency in assessment, documentation, medication administration, IV therapy, and patient education
- Availability to work 3x12-hour night shifts and participate in standard unit operations and handoffs
