Overview Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D) travel assignment in Clearlake, California. Start July 27, 2026 for a 9‑week assignment. Weekly pay range $2,393–$2,502 per week. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,393–$2,502 per week Guaranteed hours: 0 Contract duration: 9 weeks Shift: 3x12‑hour nights Start date: July 27, 2026 Setting: Hospital (Labor & Delivery/Women’s Care Unit environment) Responsibilities Provide direct patient care for women from childbearing through geriatric years and infants up to 28 days of life; conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, plan and implement interventions, and evaluate patient responses; coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams. Administer medications and IV fluids according to approved policies; manage narcotics and ensure accurate medication administration and documentation; accurately charge for patients and unit supplies. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and physicians; provide patient and family education throughout the care continuum. Demonstrate clinical leadership by directing and delegating tasks to other health care team members under the supervision of an RN; participate in handoffs and transfers with clear, concise reporting. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment; document assessments, plans, interventions and outcomes in the clinical record; adapt care plans based on patient status and age‑specific needs. Adhere to unit policies and procedures; respond promptly to emergencies and provide age‑appropriate, compassionate care across the patient population served.
