CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift

Black Bear Talent is hiring a skilled 2nd Shift CNC Machinist with hands-on experience operating both CNC Mills and CNC Lathes . The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CNC programming basics, with the ability to write, modify, and troubleshoot programs as needed. This is an opportunity for an experienced machinist who can confidently set up, operate, and make adjustments to CNC equipment while producing quality parts to specification.

Schedule: 2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday, Hours are 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM

This position offers a 4-day work week with a 3-day weekend every week.

Pay Range dependent upon experience $18 - $26

Responsibilities
• Operate a variety of CNC and manual machining equipment
• Program and set up CNC lathes and milling machines with minimal supervision
• Manufacture precision parts according to blueprints, drawings, and quality specifications
• Inspect and measure finished parts to ensure conformance to requirements
• Make tooling and machine adjustments as needed
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and planning data
• Perform de-burring and finishing processes when required
• Change tooling and maintain machine operation efficiency
• Complete production and quality paperwork accurately
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
• Perform preventative machine maintenance checks as assigned
• Follow all company procedures, safety policies, and work instructions
• Work overtime or weekends as needed to support operational demands

Qualifications
• Previous CNC machining experience required
• Experience programming and setting up CNC equipment preferred
• Strong understanding of machining processes and blueprint reading
• Working knowledge of GD&T required
• Experience with Fanuc controls preferred
• Mastercam or Featurecam experience is a plus
• Strong math and measurement skills
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Good manual dexterity and visual attention to detail
• Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment in an industrial environment

Work schedule

• 10 hour shift
• Night shift
