Job Description

A well-established, family-owned company is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its growing accounting team on a contract-to-hire basis. The role will focus on general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial close, and supporting AP/AR functions. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of professional accounting experience, preferably in construction and/or retail, along with strong Excel and accounting systems skills. They are looking for someone who is curious, analytical, adaptable, team-oriented, and highly committed to integrity and accountability.

Responsibilities :

• Maintain and balance general ledger accounts and prepare accurate journal entries.
• Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close.
• Ensure financial records comply with GAAP and internal company policies.
• Support credit card processing and track AP/AR activity.
• Analyze financial data and resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and meet reporting deadlines.

Qualifications and Requirements:

The base pay range for this position is $26-$36/ hr , excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
