We are leaders in developing advanced wear-resistant Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) coating technology for precision-engineered components and tools. PVD is a vacuum-based surface engineering process that deposits a thin, hard coating onto a part to improve wear resistance, reduce friction, increase corrosion resistance, and extend service life. Our coatings support customers in demanding industrial, aerospace, and medical markets where component reliability, dimensional control, and surface performance are critical. The process can produce hard nitride coatings, including titanium nitride (TIONEX®) and chromium nitride, at temperatures below 350&degree;F. This low-temperature capability is especially important for finished parts made from temperature-sensitive materials, such as hardened steels and high-performance titanium alloys, because the coating can be applied without degrading bulk mechanical properties, altering heat treatment, or compromising critical dimensions. In addition to toll coating services, we provide surface-engineering expertise to help customers select the appropriate coating, prepare parts for processing, and solve wear, galling, corrosion, and friction-related performance challenges.

Mechanical Technician is responsible for production tasks, repairs, and overhauling mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and functionality of machinery and equipment for the manufacturing facility.

Reports directly to the Plant Manager

PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Operation of cleaning parts utilizing ultrasonic multi-stage aqueous solutions.
• Performance of sophisticated vacuum deposition equipment.
• Inspection of precision industrial tooling and orthopedic medical implants.
• Ability to multi-task between production and maintenance functions.
• Proven electrical and mechanical technical trade skills.

MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Safety – adherence to all safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintenance & Repair – perform routine maintenance tasks, diagnose mechanical issues and repair & replace faulty components.
• Troubleshooting – Identify and resolve mechanical problems by means of diagnostic tools and procedures.
• Inspection – examination of machinery and equipment to identify potential problems and suggestions for improvement.
• Data Analysis – Analyze data to accurately access the performance of machinery and equipment and identify areas needed for improvement.
• Installation – Install new machinery or equipment as necessary, ensuring proper alignment and functionality.
• Communication - Collaborate with engineers and managers to coordinate work and share information.
• Documentation – maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Problem Solving – Apply problem-solving skills to identify, evaluate, and resolve mechanical issues.
• Continuous learning – be aware of and procure current knowledge of the latest technology and techniques in mechanical maintenance and repair.
