Surgical Technologist - Neuro and Thoracic Specialty

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour days schedule, 10:45 AM to 11:15 PM, Monday through Friday.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist with recent expertise in Neuro and Thoracic surgery to join our Main Surgical Unit. The Northside Atlanta Campus operates 24/7 with a variable case volume ranging from 28 to 55 cases per day across various service lines including Orthopedic, Neuro, and Urology.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures under the supervision of surgeons and Registered Nurses.
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures.
• Handle surgical instruments and supplies safely and effectively.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the surgical specialty.
• Required AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency in Cerner electronic health record system.
• Recent experience in Neuro and Thoracic surgeries is essential.
