Holistic Health Innovator: Dental Hygienist Focused on Sleep, Pain, and Overall Wellness
University Avenue Dental is seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled Dental Hygienist for a rewarding role focused on overall patient health. This position is unlike traditional hygiene, placing strong emphasis on comprehensive wellness, including pain/headache control, growth and development, and sleep medicine, in addition to exceptional dental hygiene. Requirements
- Licensed dental hygienist
Current and active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of Indiana.
Proven experience in a dental clinic environment.
Strong knowledge of dental scaling and dental prophylaxis procedures.
Familiarity with dental care patient counseling and education.
Understanding of HIPAA compliance management and infection prevention protocols.
Job Description
Advanced Preventive Care: Perform thorough dental prophylaxis and dental scaling, applying principles of infection prevention management.
Holistic Assessment: Integrate patient assessment with a focus on sleep medicine and pain management, identifying risk factors and collecting data relevant to whole-body health.
Patient Education & Counseling: Provide advanced dental care patient education and counseling, specifically detailing the connection between oral health, sleep, and chronic pain.
Diagnostic Imaging: Operate and interpret specialized imaging, including CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography), to aid in comprehensive patient evaluation.
Record Management: Maintain accurate patient records and ensure meticulous management of HIPAA compliance.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the clinical team to develop and support comprehensive treatment plans that address both dental and systemic health goals.
Patient Interaction: Ensure exceptional patient interaction and comfort across diverse demographics.
