Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled General Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have experience in a broad range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts imaging. This position offers the opportunity to work across both outpatient and emergency settings with patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts ultrasound examinations in accordance with established protocols.

• Operate ultrasound equipment (Philips systems, PACS) safely and effectively to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.

• Support physicians with ultrasound-guided procedures such as paracentesis and thoracentesis.

• Accurately document findings and maintain patient records.

• Provide compassionate, professional care to patients across all age groups.

• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.

Additional Details

• Schedule: Mid shift, Monday–Friday (3:00 PM–11:00 PM).

• Call Requirement: Every 3rd day after 6 PM and every 3rd weekend.

• Patient Population: Adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

• Common Exams: OB (all trimesters), abdominal, DVT, carotids, breast, renal/bladder, thyroid, and testicular studies.

• Environment: Outpatient and emergency department settings.

• Locals: Must reside at least 50 miles from facility.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Active NY license required (must be in hand prior to start).

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent ultrasound experience.

• Certifications: ARDMS and BLS required.

• Preferred Certifications: ARRT (Sonography), RDMS (AB, OB, BR, Peds), RVT.

• Required Experience: Community hospital/outpatient setting.

• Preferred Skills: Biopsies and advanced vascular studies.

• Travel Experience: Not required (first-time travelers welcome).
