Senior Systems EngineerBAE Systems is looking for a highly motivated, self-starter, to join our Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Integration Support Contract (ISC) team supporting the following Minuteman III Missile Field Battlespace Awareness (MFBSA) programs: Remote Visual Assessment (RVA) and WaveRelay Tactical Assault Kit (WaRTAK). The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a senior systems engineer, directly responsible to the MFBSA Lead Program Manager, for technical performance of program requirements. This individual will conduct technical documentation and report reviews, ensure design complies with cybersecurity practices and architecture, and contribute day-to-day execution of programs efforts to ensure Time Certain Delivery of capabilities. Focus on research and/or product development encompassing primarily one or more of the following engineering disciplines: electronics, electrical, mechanical, chemical, etc. Defines problems, conducts research, and analyzes criteria related to various engineering fields. Duties of the position can include (but are not limited to):Work with an acquisition team to write specifications, review engineering drawings and technical documents, and manage work to meet program schedules and requirements.Apply engineering principles and analytical methods and techniques to identify or evaluate proposed modifications and/or replacements for system components.Identify and annotate analytical or technical findings, and be prepared to defend technical recommendations concerning any needed modifications and/or replacements.Interpret Computer Aided Design (CAD) models and drawings.Be familiar with the comprehensive design process including conceptual development, physical design, support to procurement, engineering test, root-cause analysis, and integration and support of product qualificationPossess an understanding in the application of engineering principles and processes to be able to evaluate contractor designs and processes.Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate between contractor and stakeholders; and be able to comfortably brief to an audience, including senior leaders.Apply DoW Acquisition and MMIII processes to assist the government and the contractor successfully enter/exit through systems engineering gates.Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.Review contractor technical CDRLs for quality and accuracy#ASFS Required Education, Experience, & SkillsFour year degree from an accredited program in engineering, math, physics, or chemistry7 years (5 years with MS degree) relevant experience in any of the following engineering disciplines: electrical, mechanical, systems, electronicsExperience with multi-tasking and the ability to track multiple technical issues at a time across multiple programsAbility to creatively problem-solve technical issues (hardware, software, testing, etc.) quickly and concisely with cost and schedule impact considerationAbility to effectively communicate issues and resolutions internally and to various stakeholdersKnowledge in information technology, network, RMF and cybersecurityPossess good written and oral communication skillsProficient in Microsoft OfficePreferred Education, Experience, & SkillsStrong background in systems engineeringExperience/knowledge with ICBM weapons systemsUnderstanding and experience in DoW acquisitions systems engineering processes, gates, and reviewsKnowledge of Air Force engineering systemsAbility to analyze supportability of the designExperience in Risk ManagementExperience in Configuration ManagementExperience in Logistical AnalysisPay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $107359 - $182510 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
