Technical Program Manager

Job Overview Technical Program Manager – must work in‑office 1 day per week at one of the Pulse Point locations: Indianapolis, IN; Atlanta, GA; Mason, OH; or Norfolk, VA. The role supports a hybrid model with flexibility for virtual work. Responsibilities Coach and mentor project team members. Mentor other project managers on project management methodology. Define project scope and develop resource, risk, quality, cost, and scope management plans. Develop training plans and requirements documents. Create project approval matrix and identify team training and tool needs. Define, recommend, and secure contractual agreements for technical services and products. Coordinate requirements, schedule implementation and post‑implementation plans, and develop service‑level agreements for vendor partners and global resource firms. Define quality gates for each project methodology phase, critical success factors, and manage the project warranty period. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Minimum 10 years of project management experience in broad‑based information systems, full life‑cycle application development, enterprise application building, or data warehouse planning and development, with at least 3 years leading and directing project tasks. Experience creating an effective team environment, building strong relationships, negotiating, solving problems, resolving conflicts, managing resources in a matrix environment, and communicating effectively at all levels of an organization. Experience working with project management tools, documentation tools, and reporting tools. Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences Project management certification within one year of employment. Experience with portfolio management applications and Rational tools. Prior experience in health insurance. Experience with JIRA, Smartsheet, and Confluence. Workshift & Job Family 1st Shift (United States). Job Family: IFT > IT Project Management.
