Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications:

• Active Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TSVI) license required
• Experience supporting K-12 students with visual impairments preferred
• Flexible, collaborative, and proactive approach to changing caseloads
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Serve approximately 12-15 students (some homebound), across six campuses, with assignments and caseloads evolving as needed
• Develop and implement individualized educational plans for students with visual impairments
• Work closely with general and special education staff to facilitate student success
• Provide direct instruction and access support in academic, mobility, and daily living skills
