Caseloads and grade levels will be determined based on your experience and classroom assignment, with opportunities to work with students from Early Childhood through 8th grade . Position Overview As a Speech‑Language Pathologist, you will provide comprehensive speech and language services to students with a variety of communication needs while working alongside a multidisciplinary team of educators and related service providers. You’ll play an essential role in helping students develop the communication skills necessary for academic achievement, independence, and lifelong success. Responsibilities Provide direct speech‑language therapy and consultative services to students with diverse communication needs. Conduct evaluations, write assessment reports, and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs. Develop measurable communication goals and monitor student progress. Collaborate with teachers, families, and a multidisciplinary team to support student achievement. Implement evidence‑based interventions using multisensory instructional strategies. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and district requirements. Student Population This specialized program serves students from Early Childhood through 8th grade with a wide range of exceptional needs, including: Cognitive and multiple disabilities Behavioral and emotional disabilities Physical and health impairments Speech and language disorders Students receive individualized instruction in a nurturing, highly structured environment designed to promote academic achievement, communication, independence, and life skills. Qualifications Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech‑Language Pathologist endorsement. Master's degree in Speech‑Language Pathology. Experience working with students with autism or other complex learning needs is preferred but not required.
