Job Description As a Security Officer Entry Management in Columbus, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a technology data center location, you will help support a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, and documenting visitor activity. You will maintain a professional presence, communicate clearly with employees and guests, and help deter security-related incidents. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $23.44 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon02:00 PM - 10:00 PMTue02:00 PM - 10:00 PMSat02:00 PM - 10:00 PMSun02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a technology data center location. Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and retrieve access badges, and maintain accurate access-control logs in accordance with site procedures. Respond to access-control alarms, unauthorized-entry concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating incidents through established communication channels. Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, the facility perimeter, and surrounding areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Document incidents, observations, and visitor activity accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives. Minimum Requirements: At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
