Job Summary: The Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive patient care across a variety of acute and post-operative conditions, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered services. This role involves collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to promote safety, ethical standards, and optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
  
  
• 
  Implement and evaluate nursing interventions, adjusting care based on patient responses.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications and treatments accurately according to provider orders and safety protocols.
  
  
• 
  Recognize clinical changes and promptly escalate care or initiate appropriate interventions.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and families regarding health conditions, medications, and discharge instructions.
  
  
• 
  Document assessments, interventions, and clinical outcomes accurately in electronic health records.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Alaska.
  
  
• 
  Possess current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in clinical assessment and decision-making within a fast-paced environment.
  
  
• 
  Be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, standing long periods, and performing necessary physical tasks.
  
  
• 
  Maintain up-to-date certifications applicable to the practice area within six months of hire.
