Pharmacist In Charge
A licensed Pharmacist In Charge is needed for a direct hire role based in Chandler, AZ. This position requires strong leadership in maintaining regulatory compliance within a 503A pharmacy facility, alongside hands-on dispensing and patient care duties.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Licensed Pharmacist in Arizona or New Jersey (license must correspond to the work location)
- 3 to 5 years of total pharmacy experience
- Preference for backgrounds in mail-order, outpatient, community, or compounding pharmacy settings
- Comfortable serving in a working PIC (Pharmacist In Charge) capacity
- Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations specific to 503A facilities
- West Coast pharmacy licenses (CA, NM, TX, NV, UT, OR, WA, CO, NJ) are highly preferred
- Previous PIC or pharmacy management experience is advantageous
- PioneerRx software experience is a plus, though training can be provided
- Candidates should be local to Gilbert, AZ or West Egg Township/Galloway, NJ as relocation is not currently supported
Responsibilities:
- Dispense prescriptions accurately and provide thorough patient counseling
- Supervise and support pharmacy staff while maintaining standard operating procedures and compliance with USP <795>/<800> and FDA 503A regulations
- Manage inventory, including controlled substances, and ensure proper documentation
- Address patient inquiries with professionalism and ensure a high level of customer service
- Uphold regulatory compliance across all states serviced by the pharmacy
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Possible weekend coverage may be required as the pharmacy grows
