Senior Patient Scheduler

Description Under the direction of the Patient Access/Central Scheduling Coordinator & Patient Access/Scheduling Manager, provides training to existing and new hires in scheduling, verifies orders, schedules, registers, verifies insurance coverage and benefits, creates estimates, and obtains pre-certification, referral or authorizations as needed per insurance requirements; Participates in the collection of up-front revenue due to the facility; Provides quality customer service to internal and external customers; and remains responsible for obtaining accurate patient information to ensure patient satisfaction; patient safety, and hospitals quality measures are met. Shift Details Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Day shift. Required Qualifications 3 years Central scheduling experience. Preferred Qualifications Coursework/Training: Medical terminology. Upon hire: CHAA Medical setting experience. Data entry, medical terminology and insurance experience. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
