Key Account Manager - Pet Specialty

A growing manufacturer of premium pet food and treats is seeking a Key Account Manager - Pet Specialty to join its office in DuPage County, IL. Backed by a well-established global company and expanding across the U.S., this team needs a relationship-driven account manager who can grow key retail and distributor partnerships in the pet channel.

What You'll Do

Serve as the main point of contact for assigned national and regional pet specialty retailers and distributors (and select FDM accounts)
Develop and maintain headquarters-level relationships that drive distribution and sales growth
Use trends and sales data to shape account strategy and match products to customer needs
Participate in performance reviews and market presentations with customers
Engage regularly with existing accounts to make sure their needs and sales goals are met
Partner with the Regional Sales Manager on account plans (individual contributor role, no direct reports)

What You Bring

Required: pet industry experience (pet specialty strongly preferred)
Required: headquarters-level key account management experience; this is not an outside territory sales role
Required: local to the DuPage County, IL area and able to commute to the office (onsite role)
Strong ability to analyze trends and data to support sales strategies
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; comfortable with regular travel
