Job Description

Large City Government office is looking for a Senior Plan Analyst . This person will be responsible for reviewing and processing utility construction permit applications within infrastructure and development services. 

Responsibilities:

• Review legal documents, surveys, site plans and plots. 
• Responsible for customer communication regarding the status of their application or plan review. 
• Maintain collaboration with other sections, divisions and departments. 
• Assist in creating reports, standard operating procedures and assist in special projects necessary. 
• Able to read and interrelate surveys, utility site plans, GIS / mapping systems. Strong problem-solving abilities

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Requires a related Associate's degree, such as Building Inspection, or the equivalent. 
• May require a valid Texas driver's license and compliance with the City of Houston's policy on driving. 
• Two years of skill, journey level experience in building trades, inspection or plan examining in the area of analysis to be performed are required.
• Two additional years of skill, journey level experience in building trades, inspection or plan examining in analysis, may be substituted for the above degree requirement. 
• Must be proficient in Microsoft word, excel, teams, outlook, and adobe. 
• Excellent customer service and follow-up skills are required.
• Able to read and interrelate surveys, utility site plans, GIS / mapping systems. Strong problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

The base pay range for this position is $28.10, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity.
